Shortly after moving to Los Angeles, Sonny landed an apprenticeship for British record producer Flood. Excited by the experience and atmosphere of the studio, he went to London to continue his work with Flood and Alan Moulder. Since returning to Los Angeles, he has worked in-house as an engineer for Trent Reznor, My Bloody Valentine, M83, Dave Sardy and David Longstreth.
As a producer, engineer and mixer, he has worked alongside artists such as american football, NOTHING, Diiv, julie, These New Puritans, Deradoorian, Suzanne Ciani, Greg Leisz, Protomartyr, Emma Ruth Rundle, Gossamer, La Femme, Animal Collective, Portugal.
